14 Awesome Aliens: Out of This World Characters!

Movie aliens come in all shapes and sizes. They can be good, bad, somewhere in the middle or simply comedic relief.

Hollywood could be way off on how extraterrestrials actually look if any should ever deem us worthy of a visit!

But for now, we have what our most creative souls in Hollywood have told us they look like. Some of our favorite aliens can be seen, like right now! Watch Avatar online or watch Riddick online and you’ll meet a few!

Click through and check out which movie aliens are our favorites, i.e. 14 awesome aliens!

Yoda in the Star Wars movies showed us that aliens can be the smartest and wisest of all of a movie’s characters. Kick ass, he can too.

The Alien from Aliens

The Alien from the Aliens movies, now they existed for one purpose and one purpose only — to completely ruin our days… and nights. Those are some nasty bastards. Love the way a second set of teeth comes emerging out of the mouth! Scary to the max.

E.T.

3.
E.T.

Steven Spielberg’s E.T. taught us that they’re all not here to take over our world. Also, his alien had… well, heart!

The Predator

4.
The Predator

The Predator was as menacing as the alien from Aliens, but he was so much more. He could go invisible and basically was almost impossible to kill. That is, unless you’re Arnold!

Close Encounters Aliens

Those little aliens from Close Encounters were so cute!

Alien Leader from Mars Attacks!

For pure humor, nothing can beat the alien leader of Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks!

Chewbacca from Star Wars

Chewbacca from Star Wars

Chewbacca was the perfect wing man. Well, if being a wing man means being there to kick butt for your BFF. Everybody give us your best Chewbacca roar and connect with your inner Wookie!

Na'vi from Avatar

8.
Na’vi from Avatar

The Na’vi are a nature loving group of aliens in James Cameron’s Avatar world. What’s not to love?

Vincent D’Onofrio in Men in Black was a great combination of pure brute force meets comic relief. Love that guy!

Aliens from Starship Troopers

Aliens from Starship Troopers

The aliens from Starship Troopers are more of the bug-like variety that Hollywood likes to throw at us every couple of decades. But the way they came at those troops in Starship Troopers was utterly terrifying.

Aliens from District 9

11.
Aliens from District 9

The aliens in District 9 were kind of like aliens of another kind. We love how they looked and more importantly, the message the film told by using E.T.s as a parallel for foreign immigration.

The Aliens from Independence Day

12.
The Aliens from Independence Day

Who doesn’t love an alien that only says one word throughout an entire movie after causing so much destruction? And that word was: “Diiiiiiiiiiie!”

The Klingons

13.
The Klingons

The Klingons in the Star Trek world have proven to be both enemies and friends. They’re versatile! We’ll see what role they play in the future installments of the new Star Trek. Either way, they are quite the innovative alien invention!

Riddick

Riddick

Riddick kicks ass, there is nothing more to it than that. That alien may be wanted, but we can’t get enough.

Weekend Movie Preview: February 28, 2014

The weekend movie preview has two big releases coming at audiences and they could not be more different! First up, Liam Neeson tries to protect us as an Air Marshall in Non-Stop and the story of Jesus comes to life with Son of God

Non-Stop: There is something about Neeson in action that truly has audiences enthralled of late and Non-Stop will certainly do that and more. As we reported in our Non-Stop review, Neeson is astounding as an Air Marshall who has to find the source of texts that are coming from inside the plane. The person at the other end is demanding $150 million or they will kill someone every 20 minutes. It’s a fascinating premise that is well executed and should not only thrill Neeson fans, but movie goers in general.

Son of God: The people behind the smash mini-series on TV The Bible, turn their attention on the greatest tale of them all: The story of Jesus. Our Son of God review found the film was striving for a cinematic feel, but fell short unfortunately and still feels like a TV movie. Despite a stellar score and solid performances by its cast… the film should do little but attract the faithful.

Thanks to Fandango, check out their Fanticipation meter to see who is buying tickets to what!

Also in theaters:

The LEGO Movie: Will The LEGO Movie make it four weeks in a row on top the box office charts? Chances are that Non-Stop will break its streak, but for those who still haven’t seen the animated gem, check out our The LEGO Movie review and see why this is a must-see. It is a comic adventure… for all ages.

3 Days to Kill: Kevin Costner returns to action as a CIA assassin who is called back to duty for one more job. We reported in our 3 Days to Kill review that Costner takes back to action like a fish to water, but what makes this film so fun is his effort to rekindle his relationship with his daughter (Hailee Steinfeld.)

Pompeii: Filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson turns his attention to a disaster movie after all of his success with those Resident Evil movies. Our Pompeii review found the film pretty solid and if disaster movies are your thing, this one ought to do the trick.

Feel like staying inside this weekend? Several new releases have arrived online. Watch Gravity online or watch Dallas Buyers Club online and catch up on those Oscar nominated flicks!
