Fantastic Beasts: No Plans For Colin Farrell to Return

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Colin Farrell Graves

With next year’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2, Warner Bros. and J.K. Rowling will continue their second Wizarding World franchise. And while Harry and his friends won’t be showing up anytime soon — without a healthy time jump — the movies will explore the relationship between Newt Scamander and Albus Dumbledore. They’ll also focus on Newt’s complicated history with Leta Lestrange in an arc that may see Zoë Kravitz return for multiple films. Given her progeny’s infamy, there’s a lot of lore that could be mined from the elder Lestrange. And then there’s Grindelwald.

The first film did a bang up job of keeping audiences …

The Dark Tower Release Date Pushed Back One Week

Idris Elba in The Dark Tower

Sony is currently in the market for their next big franchise. There is reason to believe Spider-Man: Homecoming should deliver that, but the studio may have bigger plans with Venom and Silver Sable & Black Cat movies also being discussed. Outside of superheroes however, Sony is hoping that a beloved Stephen King series will help them as well. The Dark Tower was originally scheduled to hit theaters early this year, and with stars like Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba attached, and the use of King’s source material, the movie was positioned to be a potential early hit in 2017.

Better Call Saul Season 3 Will Be Darker & Closer to Breaking Bad

Bryan Cranston and Bob Odenkirk in Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad is considered by some to be one of the best series to ever air on television. During its five-year run, Bob Odenkirk brought “criminal” lawyer Saul Goodman to life. The character was so popular he eventually got his own series called Better Call Saul, set five years before Walter White built his drug empire.

The spinoff follows Jimmy McGill before beginning a life of crime under the alias Saul Goodman. While the show touches on the seedier aspects of the Albuquerque criminal underworld, it has generally remained a much lighter show than its predecessor up to this point. Headed into season …

Lion King: Beyonce is First Choice to Voice Nala

Lion King Beyonce Nala

Disney is currently running through all of their animated classics and giving them a live-action update that is now possible thanks to advancements in visual effects, and the fact that they know people will turn out in large crowds to see them. Maleficent and Cinderella both proved there was an audience for this, but it has been The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beasts‘ recent box office domination that has shown that no property, no matter how beloved, will be deterred from being successful.

One of the next remakes for the studio will bring The Lion King to life in a “live-action” format that will really be fully CGI. Jon Favreau is set to …
