King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword Preview Screenings Sell Out Theaters

Charlie Hunnam in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword just generated huge buzz at a recent sold out preview screening. The Guy Ritchie-directed reboot is in the final stretch before its May 12 release, sandwiched in between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Alien: Covenant to kick off the much-anticipated summer movie season. Star Charlie Hunnam worked as hard as anyone to bring the movie to life, apparently throwing 1,000 punches per day in his training.

Warner Bros. has other big summer releases to promote, like Wonder Woman and Dunkirk. But the studio decided to hold a special screening …

Doctor Who: Thin Ice Review & Discussion

Peter Capaldi Pearl Mackie in Doctor Who Season 10 Thin Ice

Doctor Who season 10 is something of an odd duck. Every episode is tasked with being as much of an introduction as it is preparation for a farewell. So far, the season has rightly leaned more toward the former, as Bill has only just begun her journey with the Doctor, venturing first into deep space and distant time in order to escape a sentient oil slick, before moving into the future to bear witness to humankind’s near-failed first interplanetary colony. Pacific Rim Gipsy Danger Jaeger

Pacific Rim: Uprising will feature a new generation of jaegers, including Gipsy Avenger – for which detailed designs have surfaced online. The film is a followup to Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 Pacific Rim, which depicted a future world overrun by kaiju aliens that traveled to Earth by way of an interdimensional portal located at the bottom of the ocean. Introducing an interesting sci-fi concept, Pacific Rim’s future featured massive robots called jaegers that were operated by teams of co-pilots and used to fight the kaiju. However when it seemed Earth was threatened of being overrun by the kaiju, the jaeger pilots led one last mission to close the portal …

Batman Director Compares Bruce Wayne to Planet of the Apes’ Caesar

Batman Ben Affleck Planet of the Apes Caesar

The Batman and War for the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves points out the striking parallels between Bruce Wayne and Caesar. After making his feature film directorial debut in 1996 with the Gwyneth Paltrow-David Schwimmer romantic comedy The Pallbearer, Reeves moved to TV, where he honed his skills directing such character dramas as Homicide: Life on the Street, and Felicity. The latter was co-created by Reeves and prolific producer J.J. Abrams, who in turn convinced Reeves to jump back into feature films in 2008 to direct the modern monster classic Cloverfield. Six years later, Reeves directed his biggest movie yet …
