How Long Barry’s Been in The Speed Force When Flash Season 4 Begins

The Flash star Candice Patton confirms that when the show returns for season 4, Barry (Grant Gustin) is still in the speed force, and Iris isn’t dealing with it too well. At the end of The Flash‘s dramatic third season, Iris had managed to escape her death at the hands of Savitar, but she and Barry still missed out on a happy ending. In the finale, Barry sacrificed himself, walking into the Speed Force and leaving Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) to take his place as the hero of Central City.

As usual, the show will return after a narrative gap of around …

15 Must-Watch Guilty Pleasure TV Shows (Currently Streaming On Netflix)

We all have that show (or – let’s be honest – shows, plural) that we feel embarrassment about admitting we watch to our friends and loved ones. It’s a multi-genre phenomenon – we have that movie, that book, that song – that we hesitate to freely admit we’re enjoying, as if radio silence would cure us of the need to keep going back.

In recent years, indulging in our guilty pleasures has become – though not openly encouraged – somewhat mainstream thanks to the internet. When a secret TV binge is shared on social media, there’s a surge of pride that accompanies us when we jump in to declare that …

Neill Blomkamp’s Oats Studios Releases Second Short Film, Firebase

Firebase Neill Blomkamp Oats Studios Film

Firebase, the second film from Neill Blomkamp’s Oats Studios has been released online, and dabbles in a few genres of science-fiction. It feels like a blend of Predator and The X-Files meets Full Metal Jacket. The first short film, Rakka, was a post-apocalyptic take on an alien invasion.

It’s clear that through these short films, Blomkamp is experimenting with mixing different genres and styles of filmmaking to create stories that are unique and yet strangely familiar. Firebase follows up on the dark, gory vision of science-fiction that flowed through Rakka and definitely provides the shock factor. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Firebase focuses on an American soldier pitted against mysterious forces in the Vietnamese jungle, some of which appear to be fellow soldiers but with a gruesome secret hiding beneath their skin. Once they shed their human layers, they look like …

Analog Photos Bring Terror in First Polaroid Trailer

Usually, these films are based around a singular hook or concept stretched out into a feature length film.

The hook of recently release 47 Meters Down was the terror of an underwater shark attack, the upcoming Wish Upon features a possessed, Hellraiser-esque box, and Annabelle: Creation continues the story of the possessed doll from The ConjuringThe hook of Polaroid is right in the title, as seen in the first-look trailer for the film.

Polaroid is similar to recent hits like Lights Out and Oculus in that it’s originally based on the 2015 short film by the director of the feature-length version, Lars Klevberg. The typical five or six teenagers from plenty of other horror films stumble upon …

X-Men: Dark Phoenix – Evan Peters Returning As Quicksilver

Following two scene-stealing appearances in the X-Men franchise, Evan Peters will be back as Quicksilver for X-Men: Dark Phoenix. As 20th Century Fox looked to further soft reboot the X-Men franchise in 2014, they released X-Men: Days of Future Past to crossover both timelines of their main story. The result was a big success as it further told the stories of the younger characters met in X-Men: First Class, but also closed the chapter on the original trilogy. Included in this ensemble was the debut of Peters as Quicksilver.

Despite his look being initially scoffed at, all it took was his first slow motion sequence to make him …
