Thanos’ Motivations are ‘Psychotic’ and ‘Compelling’

Thanos Infinity Gauntlet

Thanos’ motivations in Anthony and Joe Russo’s highly-anticipated 2018 superhero film, Avengers: Infinity War, are described as being psychotic and compelling. Marvel Studios launched their ground-breaking Marvel Cinematic Universe with Jon Favreau’s Iron Man in 2008, and then Marvel TV expanded the shared universe onto the small screen with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 2013. But the overarching narrative has been building towards an ultimate showdown with the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) since Joss Whedon’s The Avengers hit theaters in 2012.

Thanos, created by comic book legend Jim Starlin and is arguably the Avengers’ greatest foe (when wielding a completed Infinity Gauntlet), first officially appeared in James Gunn’s Guardians of …

Why It’s Important That Infinity War’s Heroes ‘Feel Pain’

Iron Man in Avengers Infinity War pain sacrifice

Joe and Anthony Russo, directors of Avengers: Infinity War, recently stressed how important it is that heroes “feel pain.”

“You’re not the guy to make the sacrifice play,” Steve Rogers snapped at Tony Stark. Under the influence of the Tesseract, The Avengers saw Captain America highlight the cost of heroism. That’s essentially the theme of the MCU to date; what does it truly mean to be a hero? By the end of The Avengers, Stark had proved Cap wrong. He’d launched himself through a portal, carrying a nuclear bomb on his back. It was the ultimate “sacrifice play.”

Thor Continues a ‘Radical Transformation’ in Infinity War

Thor Infinity War

Off the back of the blockbusting success of Thor: Ragnarok, Anthony Russo promises that the God of Thunder will continue his “radical transformation” in Avengers: Infinity War.

Since first picking up Mjolnir back in 2011, Chris Hemsworth has cemented Thor as an integral part of the MCU. Having played a major part of the first two Avengers movies and starred in three of his own solo movies, Thor is back once again with the rest of Earth’s mightiest heroes to tackle the Mad Titan Thanos in the upcoming Infinity War. While there are sure to be some major casualties in the next two Avengers movies, it’ss doubtful that Thor is going anywhere just …

Russo Brothers Tease a Major Infinity War Upgrade for Bucky

Sebastian Stan in Captain America Winter Soldier

Anthony Russo has teased that the Winter Soldier’s new cyborg arm may be Wakandan tech. If that’s the case, Bucky is getting a much-needed upgrade just in time for Avengers: Infinity War.

When Hydra first captured Bucky in the 1940s, they began a decades-long process to turn him into their ultimate assassin. As part of that, they used experimental cybernetic technology to replace Bucky’s injured arm. He was given a powerful cyborg arm, and was likely enhanced in other ways too.
