Marvel is expanding into adult party games, as Deadpool Vs The World will merge Cards Against Humanity with the Regeneratin’ Degenerate. Since his debut in 1991, Deadpool has been a big hit for Marvel comics. The fourth-wall breaking mercenary spent years with a cult following before finally making the jump to the big screen in the much-maligned X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but 2016’s Deadpool gave him a more proper spotlight. Already headlining multiple comics for Marvel, the film’s success has seen merchandising and name recognition for the Merc with a Mouth explode. Exclusive: How a Peter Parker Cameo Could Fit Into Venom

Tom Hardy Venom Tom Holland Spider-Man

We may know some details on the scene Tom Holland’s Peter Parker may show up in for Venom. Sony’s Venom, set to open October 5, marks the company’s first foray back into the world of Spider-Man since 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and since their agreement with Marvel Studios allowed Peter Parker and company to play in the larger sandbox of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Black Panther Characters Return to Marvel Comics Just in Time For Movie

Just in time for the release of Black Panther in theaters worldwide, Marvel has brought back three of T’Challa’s key writers and two familiar characters on the comics front. Black Panther is currently breaking box office records left and right in theaters. The latest numbers have Black Panther beating The Avengers for Tuesday earnings and it could be well on its way to topping the 2012 film overall. We’ll have to wait a bit longer to know if that’s the case, but Marvel has wisely been preempting the film’s success with a number of new comic book projects.

Alongside Ta-Nahesi Coates’ main Black Panther title, 2018 has seen …

Mute Director Duncan Jones Want to Adapt a 2000 AD Comic Book Series

If Mute director Duncan Jones was going to tackle a comic book movie, he’d love it to based on a character from cult British comic 2000 AD. The comic began in the late 1970s, with a focus on science-fiction and action stories. 2000 AD quickly became known for its lurid artwork and dark sense of humor, and over the years it built up an array of great characters, including Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog, Halo Jones and, of course, Judge Dredd.

2000 AD also served as a breeding ground for talented writers, with Garth Ennis, Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, Neil Gaiman and many others passing …
