How the Shazam! Director Is Dealing With Fan Expectations

Shazam! director David F. Sandberg recently discussed what it’s like dealing with fan expectations. The upcoming comic book movie that follows the young boy Billy Batson, who possesses the ability to transform into the adult superhero Shazam (formerly named Captain Marvel), is Warner Bros.’ next movie that will shoot as part of their burgeoning DC Extended Universe. The next DCEU movie on the docket remains James Wan’s Aquaman, releasing in December 2018 and starring Jason Momoa as the eponymous character, and Shazam! will follow suit in April 2019.
