IGN Acquires Game Publisher Humble Bundle in Controversial Deal

Media giant IGN has just bought digital seller Humble Bundle. Known for selling packs of indie games at pay-what-you-want prices offers, Humble Bundle has been in the business of selling games online (and other monthly selections that include software, comic books, and table-top gaming) for seven years now with a portion of their sales going to several charities while the rest is split among the game developers. Founded by Jeff Rosen and John Graham, the concept was initially run by Wolfire Games in 2010 until it was spun out to manage the promotion, payments, and distribution of the bundles.

More recently, significant changes have been made to the operational structure of the company to improve their revenues. In 2015 …

Harry Potter: 15 Things You Didn’t Know About Dementors

J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter stories are filled with magical creatures, and not all of them are friendly. In fact, some of them are so evil and frightening that even the most powerful witches and wizards steer clear of them.

In Rowling’s Wizarding World, few creatures inspire dread and fear like the Dementors. As otherworldly creatures who feed on feelings of hope and happiness, Dementors drift through the air in tattered black rags that barely conceal their lifeless grey skin.

Laurie & Michael Shouldn’t Be Siblings in the Halloween Reboot

Carpenter’s statements caused much discussion among diehard Halloween fans, as it wasn’t until Halloween II that the …

On paper, it all sounds incredibly innocent. However, many online speculators have posited that there could be a dark underbelly to the series.

New seasons of the show are still …

SNL Compares Kellyanne Conway To Pennywise in IT Parody

A new Saturday Night Live sketch casts Kellyanne Conway (Kate McKinnon) as Pennywise from IT. Whether one loves SNL’s current brand of political humor or hates it, NBC’s venerable sketch comedy institution clearly seems to know what it’s doing. Since Donald Trump first emerged as the Republican presidential nominee, SNL has hammered the now president hard, crafting sharp-edged parodies of just about every major controversial moment as the former reality TV star rose to power. While that obviously hasn’t sat well with Trump or his supporters, it has carried SNL to some of its highest ratings ever, and lots of Emmy Award nominations.

In addition to Alec Baldwin’s widely acclaimed impression of President Trump, SNL has also impersonated the majority of Trump’s cabinet members and advisors, including people like Steve Bannon, Sean Spicer, and Jeff Sessions. Another member of Trump’s inner circle to …
